“all of these faces”

Collage began for me when I saw the phrase in a magazine, many years ago, “All of these faces.”  At the time I was developing a portraits section for two of my visual arts classes at Hamline University, and I began cutting out hundreds and hundreds of faces and arranging them in different ways on the backs of cardboard and covers of old books. The collage path has led me away from the gathering of faces into landscape, fragments of language, monochromatic explorations, and much more.

Thank you for taking a look at my collage work. About twenty of my collages are in private collections, but we’ve tried here to provide a vision of the kinds of work I’ve done over the past ten years. Newest collages featured below; scroll down page for galleries.
