This book was conceived by the women of broadcraft press, a small, handmade book with about 70 of my writing ideas, with the use of four of my collages inside the front cover of the book.
So many of my students call me DK, and I loved their decision to just use DK on the spine of the book. What I most loved were our late evening meetings, where we talked about paper, color, layout, collages, writing ideas, the right size for the book, and about how we wanted the book to be easily carried, easily used in whatever ways writers wanted to use it.
I love that my small book is now in the company of the other poets broadcraft press has published: Su Smallen, Jen March, and Jean Larson.
