Recently, with the wonderful painter Susan Solomon, whose 12 paintings combined with my 12 poems in our Red Bird Chapbook, so she had the world, I took part in a home sale of my collages and her paintings, with 20% of the sales going to support research for a cure for MS.
We had an amazing afternoon, and we sold a lot of art! That was thrilling, and we were able to make a real donation to the MS society.
We both thank wonderful writer Pam Schmid for offering her beautiful home for this sale. I have to say, it was intense to say goodby to some of my work, but knowing some of the homes where those collages are, i feel nothing but gratitude and happiness that my collages have some new places to live.
